Almost Thursday

We had the joy of working with Almost Thursday, a skincare brand built on the belief that a considered formulation should feel as composed as it is effective. Our task was to develop a brand identity that held the brand's central tension in a single voice: clinical precision and sensorial warmth, science and ritual, credibility and care. Almost Thursday was never intended to be a medicated product dressed up in nice packaging. It needed to read as a brand that knows exactly what it is.

They envisioned an identity that spoke to a discerning woman, someone who has spent decades developing her own taste and standards, and who trusts what feels considered rather than what shouts loudest. Early in our design journey, we understood that capturing Almost Thursday's essence meant balancing authority with intimacy. The wordmark was set in a high-contrast serif with classical, editorial proportions, treated in all-caps to read as conviction without volume, with no decorative flourish to soften it. Alongside it, a circular submark enclosing a fluid, handwritten monogram introduced the other half of the brand: where the seal speaks to integrity and quality, the script inside says the person behind it has time for you.

The palette and type system carried that same duality through every application. We anchored the brand in a warm off-white ground with the quality of linen and old paper, then moved through earthy, grounded tones, a warm olive-taupe deepening into burnt rust and a rich oxblood burgundy. Nothing trend-driven, nothing borrowed from the tired botanical greens of wellness branding. A confident serif headline, a clean and comfortable body, and a quieter italic aside layered together to mirror exactly how the brand communicates: assured, clear, and then unexpectedly personal.

Our experience with Almost Thursday was an enriching journey, transforming a vision into a visual reality, creating a brand identity that didn't just look refined but resonated deeply with the woman it was made for. Ultimately, Almost Thursday wasn't just a brand; it was a story of science, ritual, and quiet confidence told through thoughtful and purposeful design.
