September Favourites

September always arrives with a little magic: softer light, warmer tones and a fresh appetite for beautiful work. Here are the colours, brands, tools, fonts and mockups that shaped our branding and web design this month.

Favourite Brand

Sunday Edition Studio was our brand of the month, and it is a lesson in how a beautifully considered website can carry a whole brand. The immersive web experience and autumnal, tonal brand colours felt like turning the pages of a slow September magazine. Every scroll felt intentional, and the palette echoed the changing leaves without ever feeling themed or predictable. For us, it showed what good web design can do: build atmosphere, hold attention and make a brand feel unforgettable. If you are planning a website redesign this season, Sunday Edition Studio is proof that a cohesive colour story and an immersive layout can turn browsing into an experience.

Favourite Colour Combo

Honey and mauve were our colour combination of the month, and no other pairing captured the start of autumn quite as well. Honey carries the warmth of low September sun, while mauve brings a soft, dusky elegance reminiscent of early evenings and fading garden blooms. Together they feel tonal, grown up and gently luxurious, which makes them a beautiful foundation for brand identity design. For designers building a colour palette for an autumn launch, this pairing proved how far a restrained, harmonious scheme can go. It works across logos, packaging, social templates and website design, and it gave every project we touched this month a cosy yet polished feel.

Favourite Font

Cormorant SC was the typeface that set the tone this month. Its graceful, high-contrast letterforms feel editorial and timeless, and its small capitals add a refined, almost literary quality that suits the reflective mood of early autumn. In branding, a serif like this brings instant elegance to logos, headings and packaging, and it pairs beautifully with a clean, simple sans-serif for body text. We loved using it to create brand identities with a quiet, luxurious confidence. For anyone choosing brand fonts for an autumn refresh, Cormorant SC is a lovely reminder that typography can do much of the emotional work in a brand.

Favourite Mockup

Our mockup of the month was the Le Petale iPhone Mockup from our own shop, and it was a natural fit for September. Its soft, petal-inspired styling suits colour palettes beautifully, helping mobile website designs and social content look polished, tonal and ready for autumn. Presenting a brand or web design on a phone is an essential part of showing clients how it will feel in real life, and a well-styled scene makes that presentation feel considered and premium. Whether you are showcasing a new website, a brand launch or a set of social templates, this mockup gave our September work a warm, editorial finish.

Favourite Tool

Our tool of the month was Pexels, and in particular its stock videos. Gentle, slow-moving footage of golden light, soft textures and autumn scenery added depth to our website design and brand presentations without needing a full film shoot. Subtle motion is one of the loveliest ways to bring a brand website to life, and September's mellow mood suits it perfectly. Used thoughtfully and colour graded to sit within a brand's palette, stock video became a practical, budget-friendly way for us to create immersive hero sections and polished brand concepts. It is a great option for designers and small businesses building a website that feels cinematic from the first scroll.
