July Favourites

July; a month of long light and soft edges. It shaped everything we found ourselves reaching for this last month. From a colour pairing we couldn't stop returning to, to a project that felt like a held breath, here are the pieces that defined our July.

Favourite Project

Pattern, a counselling and psychotherapy brand, was the project that stole the month. Everything about it moved slowly and deliberately, with a special mention for the understated serif wordmark and that tender little interlocking monogram. It stood for honouring the patterns we carry rather than pathologising them, and the identity held that idea with real grace: soft neutrals, a whisper of gold, quiet confidence in every touchpoint. There was something fitting about loving it in July, a month that invites us to slow down and reflect before the pace of autumn returns.

Favourite Colour Pairing

We fell hard for plum and baby blue this month, a pairing that felt like the exact moment summer starts to soften into something more reflective. There was a beautiful tension in it, the deep, wine-dark richness of plum grounding the airy lightness of a pale summer sky. Plum carried a knowing, end-of-season maturity while baby blue kept things open and unhurried, and together they gave a palette that felt like the last long evenings of the season.

Favourite Font

We spent July in the quiet company of Adobe Caslon Pro Italic, a classical face with all the timeless poise you would hope for and a slanted grace that felt made for the season. There was a romance to it, the gentle lean of the italics echoing the languid, unhurried feeling of late summer, warm and a little nostalgic, as though it already knew the season was beginning to fade. It brought instant heritage and refinement to any layout, equally at home in an editorial headline or a delicate piece of stationery, and its softness kept it approachable rather than austere.

Favourite Mockup

Our Salle de Bain Pump Bottle mockup was, unsurprisingly, a favourite once again, and July felt like exactly its season. It let brands see their work living in a space that felt calm, luxurious and sun-warmed, which made it a natural choice for the wellness and beauty projects that always seem to bloom in the summer months. Highly aesthetic and endlessly versatile, it was the kind of mockup that does half the storytelling for you, and we weren't the only ones reaching for it.

Favourite Stock Collection

We closed the month with Summer Vol. V, our newest collection, and it felt like soaking up the very last of the season before autumn arrives. Every frame was an invitation to linger, sun-drenched light, warm tones and that golden, slightly melancholic beauty of summer knowing its own days are numbered. If you are chasing that bittersweet, end-of-summer feeling in your branding, this was the collection we couldn't stop returning to, a fitting way to see July, and the season, gently out.
