April Favourites

Every month a handful of things quietly earn their place on our desktops, our moodboards, our "saved" folders. Here are the five that made the cut this April, shared in the spirit of passing a good thing along.

Favourite Brand

A Melbourne fragrance house that has basically made us stop and stare every time they post. Their bottles and boxes are the kind of packaging that makes you realise how much a brand can say before a single word gets read: restrained typography, really considered proportions, finishes that hold up close and from across a room. If you're working on anything in beauty, wellness, or lifestyle at the moment, spend ten minutes on their site. It's the good kind of research, the kind that sneaks into the next thing you design.

Favourite Colour

The burnt orange shade that's been quietly taking over our client work this year, and honestly the whole design world if you've been paying attention. It's warm, grounded, and earthy, which is why it keeps showing up in beauty, wellness, hospitality, and fashion branding right now. We love it because it does the work of a neutral without behaving like one. It plays beautifully with creams, deep chocolates, sage greens, and soft blush, and it photographs gorgeously on print. If you're after a palette that feels current without dating itself the moment the trend cycle turns, this is the one to bookmark.

Favourite Font

We keep coming back to this one. It's got that slightly flared, inscriptional quality that makes everything feel a little more timeless without tipping into nostalgia. Friz Quadrata is lovely for editorial mastheads, wine labels, beauty brands that want heritage without the costume. It holds up big and still reads beautifully small, which is honestly not a given.

Favourite Mockup

Ours, newly launched, and already a bestseller which we're still quietly over the moon about. Parisian street scenes, sidewalks with soul, architecture with age. We made it for brands that want their work grounded in something real and romantic rather than polished. Turns out a lot of you were after that same feeling.

Favourite Tool

We've said it before and we'll keep saying it: the right stock library changes everything. ESI is still the one we point clients to when they want imagery that actually looks like their brand, not someone else's generic mood. Warm, editorial, properly shot. Worth every pound of the membership when a project needs something that feels real.
